Ceremony 20 – Ayahuasca – 18th Jan 15

My intention for this ceremony was to simply lie back and relax into whatever comes – no resistance, no attachment. This was something that I was bringing more and more often to ceremonies.

We all drunk as usual, and I lay on my back patiently. I only needed the one cup this ceremony, and it seems like I need slightly less each time. Perhaps at a much larger dose the visions would be more “forced” upon me however at this dose, I’ve realised that there’s a special way of welcoming the visions and sensations in.

I purged a couple of times and had a feeling of “going down the hole”. I just allowed myself to sink and feel whatever arose. At this point in the work, there is less and less judgement – I couldn’t say that it was particularly pleasant or unpleasant, it was just whatever it was.

I went to spend some time outside – I generally prefer that in Ayahuasca ceremonies. I looked around and had the feeling that everything was very magical and mystical. The garden looked particularly green and earthy in the dark, and I then lay on my back and just gazed at the stars for what seemed like hours.

I didn’t leave with any specific intellectual or emotional insights but felt calm, clean and healed on another level.
